It's with great pleasure and enthusiams we welcome for the first time at Icaros Festival a space dedicated to the art of hand poke tattoo! With two very special guardians, Emily and Manuela, we invite you to step into this beautiful journey of tattoo!

Tattooing is an ancient ritual - a way to bring to the skin what already lives in the soul. At Tattoo Temple, we create a sacred space where this process unfolds with intention, presence, and deep connection.

Each tattoo ceremony is a unique journey, designed to anchor prayers, visions, and symbols into the body through a Tattoo Talisman / Skin Story. Using meditation, energy work, sound healing, and sacred plants, we open the space for tattooing to become a true act of embodiment and transformation.

Inside the Tattoo Temple, Manuela Ruas and Emily Sakhila each hold their own practice, offering individual sessions that honor the ancient art of tattooing in a spiritual and intentional way.

Manuela Ruas works with the ancestral handpoke technique, using quartz crystal to hold the needles and infuse the skin with a crystalline frequency. Her background in holistic therapies and ancestral healing arts is woven into every tattoo, creating talismans that carry deep meaning and energetic resonance.

Emily Sakhila also works with handpoke, bringing an intuitive approach to her designs. She translates energies and personal visions into symbolic tattoos that hold profound spiritual significance, guiding each person through a journey of self-expression and remembrance.

Though both tattoo separately, they come together to create the Tattoo Temple—a shared space where tattooing becomes a ceremony, a tool for transformation, and a bridge between body and spirit.

This year at the Icaros, we offer an open space for ancient crafts, where we will be sharing different workshops.

The space will be open during day time, so people can tune in whenever they feel the call or need to integrate and ground themselves into this special meditative environment.

This is an opportunity to connect with our ancestors and honor their teachings and knowledge, reminding us to slow down and tunein to our divine power of creation.

1- Learn how to transform raw materials into meaningful creations.Spinning With Wool - Karmit and Raquel Cavaleiro.
The traditions behind the process of transforming raw wool into thread cleaning, carding, and spinning with the hand spindle. We will share the Mayan and Bedouin ways.

2 - Basket Weaving with Typha (ln Portuguese: Tabúas)
Francisco Cavaleiro [ypha, also known as "cattail," is a plant that grows in wetlands, typically nearlakes or rivers.
With it, we can weave beautiful baskets and placemats. Learn the process - water them before using, and explore different weaving techniques.

Everyone is very welcome to bring their own crafts, knowledge, and materials to share in the Corner. We want to create a space for co-creation where we all learn from each other.

We’re honoured to welcome Sara and Fred, bringing Projeto Terra do Sol to Icaros Festival 2025! In the midst of a collapsing planet, their mission is to contribute to the continuity of life.

They believe that by supporting Indigenous peoples, we are actively connecting with and embodying the many causes we stand for — such as:
Reconnection & Spirituality, Cultural Protection, Anti-colonialist Bioeconomy, Cultural Reparation, Activism, Sustainability, and Healing.

Over the past five years, Terra do Sol has hosted various native Indigenous representatives, supporting them in their journeys through the world.

Along the way, they’ve helped bring healing to some of the struggles humanity faces — by sharing ancestral traditions and returning home with resources, tools, and renewed hope for their families and villages.

They are a family — one that continues to grow with every soul who hears the call and joins the mission. Because when we heal individually, we are also healing collectively!

A sacred space to honor ancient wisdom and celebrate feminine power.

Step into the Moon Temple at Icaros Festival, a deep nourishing space of healing, empowerment, and connections. Here, we honor the sacred cycles of our bodies, the knowledge of our ancestors and the divine wisdom of our wombs.

We are guardians of the womb, midwives, doulas, mothers, daughters and sisters.
A diverse group of women from different cultures and backgrounds, but united by our commitment to providing comprehensive support and accompaniment to women at different stages of life.

Through workshops, talks and practices we awaken the wisdom held deeply in our bones.

We will explore the ancient ways of healing, topics of herbal wisdom, natural gynecology, traditional midwifery, sacred sexuality and divine feminine.

Moon Temple becomes a refuge for women and babies. A safe space where each woman can live her natural processes in a sacred way, accompanied and in harmony with her body, without the pressure of the crowd and the environment.

Mulheres da Lunna - Mulheres da Lunna is a project created by Lucie & Anna—women creating from the deep source of their essence.Weaving the wisdom of Mother Nature through food as medicine, herbalism, yoga therapy, and rituals. With a mission to support women’s health and well-being through the different stages of life, including menstrual cycle and pregnancy.

Carpa Matriz - Carpa Matriz is a nomadic project born with the purpose of promoting self-care, education and awareness about sexuality and women's cycles, specifically around the uterus and its needs. In its essence, it is a space for meeting, learning and healing, focused on uterine wellbeing and a deep connection with the female body
